Stanley Clarke with the Spellbinder Black Sibling

Two incredible basses built for and played by Stanley Clarke.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own these one-of-a-kind instruments. This offer is for the actual Spellbinder Black & White Sibling basses played by legendary artist Stanley Clarke during the Return To Forever Reunion Tour and the Thunder tour featuring Clarke, Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten (SMV).

No other models exist. These are the only two of their kind built by Luthier Thomas Lieber. Not only are they incredibly unique basses in their design, sound and look – but they also bear significant historical value.

Born at the same time in 2008, these siblings are nearly identical twins but not quite. Both instruments are 32-inch medium scale. The Black Sibling was designed to be a Standard 4 string bass E, A, D, G set up with string gauges 105 through 45. The White Sibling was deigned as a Tenor 4-string bass A,D,G,C set up with string gauges 077 through 030.
